Routines shape us more than we realize. At The Lavender District, we’re firm believers that community rituals, big or small, have the power to bring us closer, both to ourselves and to each other.
A tradition has taken root alongside our Friday morning coffees, one that’s just as energizing but very different. We lace up our sneakers (or pull on our favorite grip socks or go completely shoeless) and step into a fitness studio together almost every week. Group classes have become our way of reconnecting with movement, rediscovering strength, and growing together outside of our usual routines.
Reimagining Fitness
For all of us, fitness used to look a little different. We’re retired athletes, once surrounded by competition, team drills, and strict schedules. Those days taught us discipline and drive, but they also left little space for listening to our bodies in a deeper, more nurturing way.
Now, we’re discovering a new chapter of movement, one that’s less about performance and more about connection. We’re leaning into workouts that challenge us while honoring our current state. We’re embracing what it means to move for longevity, energy, and joy.
And we’re doing it together!
Our Favorite Spaces to Sweat
Every week brings something new, but some places have become staples in our fitness rotation. Studios that not only challenge us physically but also offer a sense of community and inspiration.

They’ve helped us find confidence in new forms of movement and carve out time for our physical and mental well-being.
[solidcore] has pushed us in ways we didn’t expect, in the best way possible. Their full-body, slow, and controlled workouts have helped us build strength from the inside out. It’s hard, humbling, and incredibly empowering. We walk out a little sore and a lot proud.
